StradaSummer 2007

  • Windom Hill Place, South Side Slopes

Situated on the South Side slopes, Windom Hill has both a sweeping view of the city skyline and an intimate overlook of South Side rooftops and steeples. Inspired by hillside homes in Budapest and Prague, the site provides a quiet sanctuary; high enough on the hill to be removed from the bustle of historic East Carson Street, but close enough to still be part of the lively community. Floor to ceiling windows and a fourth floor deck give the feeling of unfettered space, yet the interiors are scaled for comfortable domestic living.

Built for energy efficiency, each town home incorporates sustainable design elements such as day lighting, construction waste management, local materials, and low emitting finishes.

Four of the eight planned units are complete, with construction beginning on the second phase.
